Having raised over £400 for charity in 2012, thanks to the generosity of friends, family and many wonderful Cat owners, Jill has decided to fundraise for the “4Cancer” charity group.
Having lost her mother to Cancer in 2008, and then hearing of so many close friends and our Cat owners suffering from the awful disease, she decided to make this Broadlands Cattery’s chosen Charity. The group offers respite breaks and holidays to British families affected by cancer. They also make grants to UK based care institutions and fund research into the positive effects of sport (e.g. skiing) and altitude and how they can help both prevent cancer and assist in recovery post diagnosis.
As a cancer respite charity with a sporting focus, they provide relief from the difficulties of living with cancer. Ski 4 Cancer provides alpine based respite days and short-breaks, and there is also run4, sail4 and bike4 branches of the group.
Jill will be fundraising during the year, donating a small percentage of each boarding fee to the Charity and any gratuities given on boarding, (unless otherwise specified) will go to this fabulous Charity.
